Där jag aldrig varit

I walk the same roads as I have before. The places I visit have long ago turned into routines. Everywhere I go, someone has chosen what is allowed to exist, and what there is no room for. I escape into daydreams, away from the everyday. I long for something else; something wonderful. I decided to go where I have never been; to look for something unknown. Sometimes the escape and the search seem the same, to have the same goal.

I found a place on the border between urban settlements and sprawling nature. An end, a beginning and a passage. There is a tree; a symbol of knowledge and growth, a premonition of what is to come. Underneath the tree there is a strange landscape. On the other side of that hill begins the closest thing we have to untouched nature. But where I am standing, everything has been decided. Even if chance has had something to do with this, I understand that my world is synthetic.
